It's only inevitable, no, natural to find happiness in a place like the city regardless of the circumstances, then. I would have liked to have stayed in my world, all implications of that considered, but nevertheless there are things for which I'm genuinely happy about here.
Shirley, I'm glad you're here. While I believe you are better off not being here because of the nature of this place, it makes me happy to see you alive again.
C.C., the circumstances I had left my world with made it impossible for me fulfill my promise personally. Needless to say, I'm glad for the chance present. The companionship is much appreciated as well, no matter what I say otherwise.
And finally, I'm happy to see the Empress growing up so willfully.
This overwhelming feeling must be a product of a curse, but I don't mind. It's a long overdue fact.
I don't intend to leave a record of a string of embarrassments brought on by these anomalies.
Do they keep the ones who misbehave or those who don't?
It's a good question to ponder while it remains to be seen whether some of you will be staying or not.
Pizza is not a Britannian cuisine. For this, I am thankful.
Ability to pilot knightmares is preferred though not mandatory.
Also, your first job would be to guard this recent trophy.
It would be beneficial to have at least one store.
Or perhaps, at the very least, there must be a decent eatery with a close-enough imitation.
On a different topic, I can't say I believe a law has been made on the matter of fireworks being used within the city, but I would like to ask anyway. Is anyone aware of such a law?
That was said in jest, of course. After all, who else do we have to turn to within the confines of this place but ourselves?
In any case, having begun this post, I might as well go about addressing several things: Miss Yuuki, I assure you that I am well. I'm not avoiding you. Simply put, the direct results of that event a month ago, and then the recent curses the deities have chosen to inflict on us were the only reason for my absence on the network. I've been quite active in matters not related to the network going-ons, actually. I hope you didn't take to heart my absence.
This reminds me of a long overdue... matter, as well. That will have to be for later, however.
The other thing that I wish to address, or rather, ask about as it seems completely appropriate to do so at the moment: rights. What rights have been left for us here? What rights have been completely stripped from us repeatedly during these supposedly random curses?
It's an interesting topic, isn't it?
At first, there was the feeling of standing at the edge of wakefulness. There was the sound of ticking in the distance; an ever-present sound Lelouch has become acquainted well with. It was yet another day in the state between life and death, a place that was arguably worse than hell itself. Lelouch had resigned himself to awakening to yet another day of half-life, and yet, these expectations were dashed-- questioned -- by the barest of touches down the bridge of his nose. It was followed by light laughter, one that he hadn't heard in a very long time, and that forced him to open his eyes and welcome whatever impossibility the city - for he knew this could only be a product of the city's deception -- had laid out for him.
"Big brother."
Yesterday's curse was a fine example of how wishes alone cannot change things for the better, and how in the end, it's our actions, in conjunction with wishes, that pave the way to better futures. In light of recent events... I wonder if anyone had the mind to wish for justice to come upon the people who would choose to exploit this city's ungodly rules surrounding death.
And if it amounted to anything.
But whatever effect it may have brought temporarily, I doubt the affected would confirm for us. It is, clearly, up to others instead to act upon those wishes.
I would like to know what our lovely Wardenship has decreed on the subject. Has a plan been made to capture the offenders?
In any case, I welcome you, however short your stay may be. May the end of the day find you safely returned to wherever you came from.
Older sister, perhaps you should run for a position come the next election? Our city could benefit from a leader like you in its head. Perhaps then, you could petition for the deities to lessen the curses we are currently forced to endure?
Of course, this is something our current Warden might choose to do as well. I think all of us could benefit from it.
To what end are these curses being brought upon us? For what despicable gains?

Whoever is responsible will be found. Even if by finding the direct culprit, I may only be able to extract proper justice to a part of the faceless shadows behind this murder.
In other news I am... in need of some help. I am not sure how to elaborate on it at the moment. A... toy, a very intricate one, of mine seems to be in need of repairs. It seems like a complete shame to trash it, but I'm not entirely familiar with the technology it runs on. Are there any skilled repairers about?
Or, simply, what they derive at all in keeping us here. If I had known death was to lead here, I would have found a way to escape it. To live here is to die as well. Wouldn't it be better to life this half-life in that world instead, biding my time for when the world's wishes inevitably failed? Or is this the natural outcome for that one moment foolishness?
If I had held my tongue, perhaps things would have been different. If I had kept from the tasteless jokes then.
How unsightly.
